Khomas youth leagues set for finale
Staff Reporter
THE NFA Technical Centre in Windhoek will be a hive of activity on Saturday as the Khomas youth leagues conclude with exciting match-ups for league honours in 2013.
The football festival will start at 09h00 with an Under 13 league final match between Khomasdal Football Academy (KFA) against Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW), with Ramblers A guaranteed third place.
Up next will be the Under 15 league which promises to be another hot affair as SOS United and SKW face-off for league honours and again with Ramblers winners of the third-place finish prize.
The Under-17 will take centre stage at the Technical Centre as Tura Magic and SKW square off to decide the title while the Ramblers side will again take the third place honours.
The biggest match of them all will be the NFA Khomas Youth League Under 19 championship decider between Invincible FC and Challengers, while the third place play-off match will be contested on Friday between Nick Eleven and Katsville.
At the SKW Field also on Saturday morning, the Under 9 league will be contested as there are still some outstanding matches but the teams that are at the forefront of competing for the league honours are Swallows A, SKW and Ramblers.
The Under 11 league has already been decided with SKW A coming first, Ramblers second and Khomasdal Football Academy (KFA) third.
The rewards for the U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 leagues will be as follows:
Winner: A trophy, 30 gold medals, seven balls and a set of markers.
The runners-up will receive 30 silver medals and five balls while the third placed teams will receive 30 bronze medals and three balls.
