Van Schalkwyk leads Kia Tennis Series
With his second tournament win in a row, young Codie van Schalkwyk takes over the lead in the Kia Tennis rankings. Van Schalkwyk won the advanced category of the recent Kia Tennis Tournament ahead of Sylvia Schulz and Waylon Wentzel.

It was a close contest at the tournament hosted by Pro Tennis Academy for the podium positions with Schulz, Wentzel and fourth placed Archie Norval all equal on matches won and only differentiated by the number of games won.

In the intermediate category, Oliver Baas took the victory with a tie break win against Veri Hinda. Delvin Losper finished in third position. The beginner category was won by Zander Coetzee against promising 8-year-old Jaco Becker 5:3 in the final.

The two players went into the final with the same number of games won, 20 each. Stephany Schulz took the bronze medal with 19 games ahead of Kayden Schnelle with 18 games.
