SMS Of The Day * THIS nation is in dire need of a massive conference on housing. When we experienced a crisis in the education sector a crisis-control brain-storming conference was organised which resulted in the best deal ever for the Namibian child, nam

SMS Of The Day * I THINK Paulus ‘The Rock’ Ambunda lost his belt because of this promoter and trainer. How can a world champion still be training at the Katutura Youth Complex where there is not enough equipment. I think they must follow the example of Ha
Food For Thought * NAMIBIA Dairies are unable to match low prices of imported milk and this ultimately means the consumer will have to pay more for local milk. Look at the prices of the local chicken. All these profits are going in the pockets of a few in

SMS Of The Day * CEO’s golden handshakes. Somewhere on our statute books there must be a provision that if a board of directors suspends/dismisses a CEO without due regard to legal provision (substantive/procedural law) such board must carry the costs for
Food For Thought * JACKY Asheeke was so right with her last column- why are the fathers of the dead children not being prosecuted? (Reference to the children who died in shack fires last week) Our justice system still protects men over women. In this cont
Bouquets And Brickbats * ALEXACTUS Kaure, your column in Friday’s newspaper opened my eyes. One hardly finds impartial case study analysers in Namibia. Let’s not destroy the Polytechnic’s strong foundation (Tjivikua) as yet. At least wait until the transf

YEAH! Namibian tweeps were over the moon about Sunny Boy’s performance at the Big Brother live eviction show in Johannesburg on Sunday night. The Namibian artist turned on the shine (and I’m not talking about his outfit here!) and worked the audience in a performance showcased across Africa. Just a few of the “proudly Namibian” tweets. Plus Nando’s eviction from BBA, withering comments about the weather, plus the usual (if not abnormal) fusion of comments about life, the universe and everything.

@ScaredNinja: It’s a cold breezy, windy situation in Windhoek this morning – who sidechicked Mother Nature?

@hillsino_ino: Ano, did the weather get friendzoned today?? Why you so pissed off?

@Nude_Oyster: Sundays are always warm and sunny... But then there’s Monday, cold and bitter.

@ruu_ndina: Could Mother Nature please hit menopause so we can have a hot flash...

BBA, The Chase

@THEDOGGMSHASHO: My boi, Sunny Boy, aka Mfanyana, is about to perform on Big Brother… the greatest lyricist from Namibia… you go boi ... mshasho/yaziza

@LadyMayNAMIBIA: Yeah, Let’s Balance for sure Africa!! Wonderful performance by our boy Sunny Boy. Let the beat control your body! *Salute* :)

@AugettoG: Ras Sheehama on Friday and Sunny Boy on Sunday ... no doubt Namibia got that HOT groove going. Proud supporter of Namibian music!

@fireshikomba: Keeping it Namibian at the Big Brother eviction show!!!

@TheRealFlykidd: Sunny Boy just murdered the stage, and his swag was on point…

@JayDeep064: Impressed by #SunnyBoy’s vocal delivery, cool performance.

@Gatecrush: Yaziza did Namibia proud… #SunnyBoy

@Moshiejr: Did Sunny Boy win a Grammy Award or something? Too many dedications out here.

@naveglam: So Daddy decides to call me to talk about my Nando being disqualified! Lmao, my poor dude is gone…

@Hugi_bear: Can you guys buy me Nando’s with lemon and herb on the side but without any bad manners, please.

@TheAmazingTimo: Evicting Sulu from the Big Brother Africa house is like getting rid of the RT button on Twitter.

Passing Shots

@justThabo: See that typo in my last tweet? So did I. We’re awesome.

@ThatAnnicaChick: It is probably just a hunch, but everytime someone unfollows me, a cute bunny somewhere dies.

@lekkerlew: Boerewors flavoured McDonald’s is like an Afrikaans Catholic Church. It exists but it’s weird.
