Underground water at Omundaungilo
THE MOST urgent and alarming threats for the water in our country are climate change and security. The situation will continue to get worse every year, if we are not willing to build a green Namibia and give priority to the environment and people’s health as well as nutrition and eco-living practices.

There is underground water that was discovered at Omundaungilo, a village in Ohangwena. This water can be used to solve the problem of scarcity of water in the northern part of the country. The livelihood of families that are effected by drought this year have changed and we can only help them if we put our collective action and ideas that bring together sustainable development of water management, energy security and action to safeguard people’s health and well-being. Let the government provide knowledge and opportunities, some community-based monitoring and advocacy activities on how to make use of underground water.
