Fencing factory opens in Katutura

BUSINESSMAN Ben Hauwanga on Friday opened doors to a fencing factory called Namibia Fencing, in Katutura and has created jobs for 300 people.
The Prime Minister, Hage Geingob who was the keynote speaker at the opening said that Namibia Fencing has added value to the Namibian economy. “This is a good thing, what you have done Ben Hauwanga, and it makes me happy and proud that you have brought fencing closer to the people especially opening up in Katutura. We don’t have to order fences from South Africa or any other country we have a factory right here. You have paved the way and I encourage others to follow, and by doing so we will decrease the unemployment rate,” Geingob said.
Hauwanga also said he is happy that he created jobs for 300 people, “We will train some of the people who don’t have experience and hire some students who are coming from vocational training centres,” Hauwanga said.
The Namibian Fencing will also manufacture corrugated roof sheeting and IBR (the box rib profile roof sheets normally used for warehouses and factories).
