RP, RDP to marry

A POLITICAL merger between two opposition parties is said to be on the cards before the November elections, well-placed sources say.

The Republican Party (RP) appears to be interested in bringing its members to the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP), and to merge with it.
“We will make an announcement to that affect on Thursday (today),” Nghiningiluandubo Kashume, Deputy Information Secretary of the RDP, told The Namibian yesterday. RP President Henk Mudge declined to comment. “I will not comment on rumours.”
