Patient found dead in hospital toilet

A patient at Onandjokwe Hospital appears to have hanged himself on New Year's Day, according to Police.

Liaison Officer for Oshana and Oshikoto region, Warrant Officer

Samuel Hamukonda, told The Namibian that Kandjala Johannes (30)

from Oshendje village, near Elombe in Ohangwena Region, was found

hanging in a a Ward 9 toilet at the hospital, where he had been

admitted for treatment three days earlier.

According to Hamukonda, Kandjala left no note and the Police are

still investigating the cause of his death.
