Woman stabbed with tool

AN Oshakati resident on Wednesday allegedly stabbed his girlfriend four times with a screwdriver before committing suicide by hanging himself from a tree with a wire.

Jason Haipumbu (27) allegedly had a fight with his girlfriend

before the incident.

She was admitted to the Oshakati State hospital, where she is

being treated for serious injuries to her back and chest.

 

* Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent

driving after a man was hit by a vehicle on the road between

Ondangwa and Oshivelo on Tuesday night.

 

The victim allegedly jumped into the road as the car approached,

and sustained serious injuries during the incident.

 

He was admitted to the Onandjokwe Lutheran Hospital.

 

* Two men, a Namibian (30) and an Angolan (34), were arrested at

the Omahenene border post on Tuesday, after they were allegedly

found in possession of a stolen vehicle.

 

The car was impounded.

 

* An accident on the gravel road between Omakange and Werda in

the Kunene Region led to the death of a 46-year old woman on

Wednesday.

 

* A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped at Khorixas on

Monday.

 

The incident apparently took place at the Bergsig riverbed in

the area.

 

Police have confirmed that an adult man was arrested.
