Sports in Brief Nam athletes to meet

* WINDHOEK - The Namibian Athletes Association (NAA) will convene a meeting with all active Athletics Namibia (AN) athletes today at the stadium of the Katutura Youth Complex.

According to the spokesperson, Agnes Samaria, the meeting is

primarily to establish a database of all active athletes in all the

regions.

Samaria, who is Namibia's top 800-metre athlete, said it might

be difficult to get all athletes at the venue on the day, but the

meeting was just a way to start such an important record.

She said the gathering was also a platform to inform athletes

that through the association, they have a voice to speak with.

The meeting will also listen to the concerns and challenges of

the athletes and submit them to relevant people, Samaria said.

Discussions will start at 17h00.
