Men urged to stop spreading HIV-AIDS
By: OSWALD SHIVUTE at OSHAKATIA YOUTH project in Oshakati called the People's Health Project (PHP) is calling upon Namibian men to stop spreading HIV-AIDS.
Joseph Ashipala, the co-ordinator of PHP, said in a press statement
that men, who he described as as the primary decision-makers at
household, institutional and community levels, were also likely to
dominate in reproductive and sexual issues.
"Namibian men should refrain from cultural myths on sexuality,
and abuse of alcohol and drugs, which can lead them to practising
immoral habits, such as rape and murder of infants," Ashipala
said.
He said men should join men's organisations and platforms that
could help educate and provide them with reproductive health
information and services
