The original Scarface film by Howard Hawkins released in 1932, followed the issue of that time, organized crime. The film most associated with Scarface, from 1983 featuring Al Pacino, was based on crime from Cuban expatriates and the new film will highlight Mexico's drug war, something being faced now.
