Not voting means not expressing your opinion where and especially when it counts. I'd suggest that you go voting next time - and while you are at it, motivate two of your friends that may also be contemplating not to vote to change their mind and follow you to your polling station.

Things never change, if you keep quiet and pretend you could somehow "sit it out". Democracy is not just the *right* to participate in political decisions, but actually also an obligation you have towards your friends and family: would you want someone else to decide for you what direction your life should take?

If not (which I would assume) - then why let others decide for you what the political direction of the country you are living in should take?

You don't have to "get" a voice - you have it already. Guaranteed by the constitution by the way. And yet you decide not to use it? I don't think that's very smart, sorry.

I wonder if the term Constitutional right means anything to you? And to put the cherry on the cake Equal Rights. It was only presently been recognised that women are allowed to vote… even more reason to have your say about our government or any other government for that matter. It is this non-chelonts’ that people have why things are as they are. People do not care about their rights but only care when push comes to shove. It infuriates me that we still get people like this in our world. I could not vote for Namibia I am not a citizen but I sure as hell voted on the recent South African elections. All I am saying is you have a voice and your voice will make an impact should you choose to use it icon_wink.gif

I agree! I think voting is important, whether you think it counts or not! Voicing your opinion is never wrong and maybe if you can get enough people to join you, you can make a difference. It only takes one person to tilt the scale!

You can always express your disapproval by voting. If you think there is noone worth voting for, then simply write something in your ballot, it will invalidate it, but it will show that you were not indifferent.
