Dear John F Nghaamwa
Your Letter published in the Namibian of 06.11.2009 as reference.
The call for boycott is not something new to this country. When we wanted independence from South Africa we asked the world to boycott South Africa and its products fully understanding that we as the citizens of this great nation would also suffer, but our suffering because of the boycott was far less than those who had financial rewards in maintaining the status quo.
In 2009 we find ourselves again at the brink of a deciding election.
You complain about the fact that you find it unfair that peoples shops are being boycotted.
I say maybe those people who were in business needed to ask themselves what do I stand to loose and what do I stand to gain before taking decisions.
They have made the bed so let them sleep in it.
The lesson to be learnt is never bite the hand that feeds you.
I support the boycott today as I have supported the boycotts of the past
