Hi

I have a problem with buying contract airtime and not loaded on. Here is one of my incidents:

I bought contract airtime on 27 Oct 2009 at around 9h00 at the Bookshop here in Hentiesbay. They faxed it as usual and gave me the receipt. After around 30 min I tried to call but the call was barred because there is no credit on my phone. Since I work in the desert I left for work. When I came back around 18h30 in the evening, I tried to make a call but it was still barred. I called MTC assistance centre (120) at around 19h00 and they have asked me for the receipt no#. I gave them the receipt no# and loaded my N$300 worth of airtime. I have been using this airtime, until Thursday morning when my calls were barred again. I was shocked how fast I used up my airtime.

Because I didn't believe that I used up such a time, I called the MTC assistance centre (120) and I spoke to one guy who suggested I re-fax or e-mail him the receipt. I e-mailed the receipt and tried to make a call again after 30 min and it was still barred. I called MTC again and I spoke to one lady who said it will take about another 1hour to be able to receive the calls.

What I find very inconvenient is that, if I made a complaint on Tuesday that my airtime is not loaded on and even gave the invoice no#, why does MTC just cut me off air? Why MTC does not follow up with me, that they haven't received my invoice so that I can make arrangement to re-fax it again? Why MTC has to wait for me to ask again about the same problem if I have already reported?

NB: This is very inconvenient for people who work in remote areas without network coverage and have to drive to the nearest town to make calls, just to be disappointed by MTC. This is not the first time, it happened several times and now I am fed up.

Please follow up with your customers when they lay complains; don't just rush to cut them off air. This is very unprofessional.
