I am surprised that the Secretary General of Swapo don’t have anything else to say to her followers but rant like a baby about one organisation just to justify the Swapo cause of hate. I would rather think that they (Swapo) would realise that their campaign to stay as the ruling party is badly jeopardised and that they should rather address the issues at hand, like the high crime rates, poverty, mal-education, weak infrastructures and on. Swapo would rather send hate messages to the masses to gain a foothold.
“Iivula-Ithana claimed that if there was to be war in Namibia, it will be because of The Namibian and its editor, Gwen Lister, who is a white person and always writes bad things, especially about founding President Sam Nujoma when he attacks white people”
No on the contrary if there should be war it is exactly the very attacks of hate and racisms you as a political leader chooses to smite the people with. The clenched fist is the very symbol of war and aggression, and if that is what Swapo wants to inject the people with then I believe war is imminent?

“Gwen Lister must know she is a white person, and if she continues to write bad and negative things about Swapo leaders and other Namibians, we will take her to task for the wrongdoings committed by her fathers, mothers, grandfathers and her grandmothers. She must not forget that she is a white person,”
As far as my memory goes there is not much good that can be said about the Swapo leadership, and as far as I am concerned Corruption, Embezzlement, Deceit, Oppression, and not to mention Hate crimes is news to the general population. And sadly many governmental leaders are guilty in of these antics. Why show a blind eye if our taxes are misused and the people of Namibia is abused. If this is how the Swapo leadership gets respect then I foresee dire consequences this coming election. Iivula-Ithana must remember the very oath the swore to uphold, maintain the integrity of Democracy.

I Quote the Namibian 29th July 2009. Headline party code won’t stifle Critics. “THE code of conduct accepted by the Swapo Central Committee last weekend will not be used to victimise or silence outspoken members but to encourage critical thinking and robust debates in a mature and respectful manner, according to Secretary General Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana.” Now who is going to prosecute you for Slander, not just against the editor but also against Racism? I wonder. In the past few days in the news is said that White people should raise their voice, how are we supposed to do that if we are subject to people like to Secretary General Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana?

““[But] if she wants her newspaper to be a people’s paper, then she has to change her behaviour of writing, [and] change those SMSes in her newspaper, because they are confusing people,” she charged.”
Now Iivula-Ithana you know that as Namibians we have the freedom to express our selves within the media as we please. And that the editor who publishes them has no right to edit them, but what right the editor does have, is to choose if they want to publish the sms’s or not. The Namibian is a peoples paper and if you only now wake up to the voice of the people, then I only have one question to ask you, where were you this past decade?
