Hi
We buy all Earth Mover Tyres.
New, Used, Damaged and Casings.
Ideally you would have a contact at NAMDEB
as it is very difficult to get tyres out of there.
They have hundreds of thousands of tyres
that can actually be seen from the air as a black mountain.
Please contact me if you can get Tyres

Hang on... you do not contact Namdeb yourself but rather want to talk to someone that has "contacts" at Namdeb, so that he can "get" you tires from that company - and for that you want to pay him?

Without some serious explanations on these forums from you, I'd say: you are obviously trying to invite somone to steal property for a reward.

Why else would someone from South Africa try this rather "strange business proposal" in a public forum in Namibia?

Shame. You guys are cynical, suspicious and obviously pretty bored.
I have tried many times to get Tyres out of Namdeb.
But because of the security risks as far as smuggling diamonds ot with the Tyres
it has been impossible for me as a South African.
But should a Namibian have a contact on the mine and he himself be known and trusted by the mine, they might let him remove used and or damaged earthmover tyres from the mine.

Not really. I'm just asking a simple question: why would someone try to circumnavigate normal company procedures to attempt to purchase used tires from Namdeb?

So you got the official "no go" sign from the company, learned that it is company policy not to sell these used tires to anyone outside of Namdeb due to security reasons, thus got a clear indication that this will not happen now nor any time in the future - and now you seek alternative "ways" to get what you desire?

I wonder what makes you tick - the official way is a no-go, so now you seek an unoffical way into the deal.

The security reasons Namdeb cites probably relate to diamond theft - after all, hiding raw diamonds in some deep cuts inside thick tires is not exactly something that would surprise security there anymore. Which is why they have probably set up that policy of *not* selling these tires to anyone outside the company, and instead use that material for something else, so that nobody even starts to persue the idea of using such tires as hiding space for stolen diamonds.

And now you come and seek a way to get around that security measure? Instead of simply contacting any other of the dozends of companies that use earth moving equipment, which you can easily find in the telephone book?

Weird. Just as weird as using a public newspaper forum for that "acquisition process", and not some more appropriate ads in special magazines or specific forums for the indutries you try to purchase tires from.

And if you would request a written statement from Namdeb regarding their security procedures regarding used tires and their future use, you may be back from fairy tale land quicker than you thought.

Knock at the front door, or get knocked on in the very public forum you choose to lay your "bait"...
