Attention: I'll like you to be aware that a so-called tour agent by the name of 'UNIQUE TRAVEL' in NAMIBIA is going about scamming people by making people put money into their bank account then disappearing with the money. I have been a victim of such a SCAM unfortunately, and I am sure there are many other victims out there. Please do what you can to make sure this person behind this company does not continue with such activity as this might certainly tarnish the image of the tour industry in Namibia. Regards |

I have been a victim of such a SCAM unfortunately, and I am sure there are many other victims out there. Pretty hefty allegations against a company that is registered with the Namibia Trourist Board, NACOBTA, USTOA, NWR and partners with Air Namibia, I#d say. And at the same time you are so scetchy about your alledged "scam", it's becoming hard to believe you actually did get scammed: how much money are you talking about, when did you pay it into their bank account (you must have obviously been in close contact with that company, as that information is not readily available from their websites - neither is any pricing information. What *IS* available though: a full blown website with contact details and photograph of the owner itself, phone, fax, email and even cellphone numbers - information that *YOU*, in comparison, do not provide), what tour did you book, what happend when you tried to follow up on where your money went or why your tour didn't materialise and why nobody from the organisations that this company is registered with reacted on your complains so far, etc. Please do what you can to make sure this person behind this company does not continue with such activity as this might certainly tarnish the image of the tour industry in Namibia. Regards A single fly-by night certainly won't tarnish an entire industry. At the same time, a single, pretty much anonymous as more than just scetchy post on a public internet forum certainly won't motivate anyone to follow suit with your request here. Unless you provide *way* more details than you did here, I'm more tempted to believe that you are the scammer here. Could it be that you planned on a group tour (after all, that's what they specialize on), but then missed your departure date, as such had the group take off without you, and now think you can claim back 100% of your payment and resent the fact that with *any* tour company, late cancellation or "no show" will result in penalty fees that can easily be as high as 100% of the tour price (standard procedure if you try to cancel your tour participation 7 days or less prior to the start)? Just a guess of course. Let's see from your response, wether I may have hit the nail on its head. And if I did: get yourself a travel insurance plan next time. Won't cost you an arm and a leg - yet jumps in if you can't participate on a planned tour when you hurt either an arm or a leg yourself prior to the start of it... Anyone wishing to follow up more details on the company mentioned: http://www.uniquetravelnamibia.com Mind you - there are many companies worldwide trading as "Unique Travel", but I only found this single one in Namibia. |

I wont be surprised if it turns out that you are one of those hiding behind this so-called *UNIQUE TRAVEL' in Namibia to carry out this SCAM since you've found it so interesting to defend such criminal act. You may have had your share in the amount that I paid into their bank accounts. Just remember that youi'll be caught sooner than you expect. |
