I didn't point out that I had just recently come to learn the definition of "colored" as applied in Namibia and Zambia. I was merely pointing out that the adjective had a different meaning in the USA. I was not implying any fault with its use, merely the difference in perception attached to the word here. Thanks Jim |

I find it ridiculous that terms like "colored" are still present. In a day and age that has come so far from slavery and racism, every should just refer to people of different ethnic backgrounds as simply "people." Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn't matter which color does the hating. Whether a person uses the term colored or not shouldn't really be an issue. What's more important are Obama's policies, and his socialist plans for the future.
