Big Brother Africa 3: Morris does a Lazarus! He's alive, he is too!!

JEAN SUTHERLAND

SEEMS rock is becoming the most abused word in the English language - at least among ardent viewers of Big Brother Africa 3.

Everyone in the house rocks.

The show rocks.

Biggie rocks.

Well that's what a large majority of viewers are saying in SMSes to the BBA TV text message strip.

Eish!! I'm still waiting for the housemates to rock me.

But in the meantime guess I'll have to be happy with a verbal rock garden.

Not too much to write today.

Things seem to have calmed down in the aftermath of the first nominations.

Just a reminder that though they're fake, the housemates don't know it.

Now that he's headlining as possibly one of the first people to be evicted, Morris seems to be discovering his inner Herbert (Herbert is his second name!).

He's talking a bit more now.

S'true.

A word here, a word there.

Don't know if the possibility of eviction has loosened him up or if it can be attributed to LaToya.

After it was announced that Morris and Thami were up for eviction, the Tanzanian tease deserted Ricco's bed and is devoting sympathy sleep time to Morris.

And here I was thinking that LaToya had the seven-hour itch when it came to bedhopping, y'know like married couples are supposed to have seven-year itches! My bad ...

or not.

Otherwise word in the blogosphere has it the BBA3 house is causing a stir in some quarters.

Radiovop in Zimbabwe says the show has come under fire from bloggers and conservatives who are reportedly shocked by the nudity and sex talk.

The sex charges apparently relate to bath time.

Late-night sources confirm that Munya, Ricco, Takondwa and Thami shower in the nude.

On the other hand, no one seems worried about Morris and Uti not showering, though word has it that Uti has been seen - once - trying to get his clean on: doing something of a fumble shower in a pair of print boxers or shorts, if my sources are correct.

Morris, it seems, has a 'Pig Pen' fetish! On one forum, John Makanda from Braeside in Harare wrote that BBA was losing the plot and blamed the show for promoting "anti-social behaviour".

However, Elizabeth Roberts wrote that BBA3 was entertaining and should be treated as a lifestyle programme.

"Big Brother shows human nature when cornered and when forced to act according to a given environment ...

and its a good concept," she wrote.

That's about it for this week BBA nation.

I don't have Bertha from BBA2 to inspire me today, Justice to get me worked up or the latest 'Untouchables' episode to write about.

Guess the show is still in the incubation stage! * Check out the action on DStv's Channel 198.
