Armed robbery rocks Kalkrand community

AN armed robbery took place at Kalkrand on Monday, in which a woman and some witnesses were held at gunpoint by three suspects and robbed of items with an estimated value of N$25 000.

One suspect has been arrested.

* A 45-year-old man and 20-year-old woman died in a car crash on the Tsumeb-Oshivelo main road on Sunday when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Five other passengers were seriously injured.

* A 38-year-old woman allegedly jumped in front of a car at Keetmanshoop on Monday and was injured.

She was admitted to the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.

* In an accident at Koës on Sunday, the driver of a double-cab bakkie lost control and overturned the vehicle on the gravel road between Koës and Aroab.

The driver sustained head injuries and was admitted to the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.

* A three-year-old toddler, Benjamin Ndeshifele Natangwe, died at Oshongwe village in the Ohangwena Region on Monday afternoon.

The cause of death is yet unknown.
