Young woman raped at dam

STAFF REPORTER

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped in bushes near the Goreangab Dam on the northwestern outskirts of Windhoek early on Saturday morning.

She told the Police that she was raped at about 03h00 in the morning by an acquaintance, whose identity is known to the Police.

According to Chief Inspector Angula Amulungu, who heads the public relations unit of the Police, no arrest had been made by yesterday.

At Otjiwarongo, a man died of a stab wound to his neck at 04h00 on Saturday.

The 37-year-old suspect allegedly had a quarrel in the Orwetoveni township with a 20-year-old man, Saul !Khaoseb.

!Khaoseb died on the way to hospital.
