SuperSport Utd wins premiership

BLOEMFONTEIN - It wasn't done in style, but SuperSport United are the new Absa Premiership champions, despite having lost 2-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium yesterday.

It was an afternoon of high drama as United had to rely on a massive favour from Golden Arrows, who held Ajax Cape Town to a 2-2 draw.

It was a nervy performance by the Pretoria side, but in the end it did not matter as the Urban Warriors failed to get the three points in Durban.

Neither side managed to come close to scoring in the opening stages of the game in Bloemfontein.
