The tournament will be from tomorrow until Saturday. The first bout of the day will start at 19h00 tomorrow and 17h00 on Saturday. The venue will be A. Shipena School Hall in Soweto, Katutura. The Khomas Region is rolling out its boxing development programme for the year. The region is also using this tournament as preparation for the upcoming Zone Six tournament in South Africa next month. It also serves their aim of making boxing more popular in the community. All the clubs in the Khomas Region, namely the Golden Boxing Club, Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy, Jacob Mistake Gariseb Boxing and Fitness University, Tiger Cage Boxing Production, Soweto Boxing Club and Arandis Boxing Club, will be participating in this tournament. Great amateur boxers like Johannes 'Baulaka' Simon, the bronze medallist at the African Games, Anthony Jarman, Josef Titus, Sam Fanuel, Eric Kalenga, Ananias 'Mosquito' Shikalepo and many others will be in action. |
