Northern councils maintain status quo

MANY town councils in the North have re-elected their office bearers.

The Oshakati Town Council re-elected Katrina Shimbulu as Mayor, with Skinny Hilundwa as her deputy.

Angelus Iyambo was re-elected as the chairman of the management committee, deputised by Loise Shivolo, who replaced Linus Shiimi in this position.

Shiimi has been elected as additional member of the management committee.

Former Mayor Engelbert Atshipara and Vaino Elago Omuthenu (CoD) are ordinary members.

* At Ondangwa, Naftal Andimba was re-elected as Mayor, deputised by Letty Tuutaleni.

Ronny Negonga remains the chairperson of the management committee, deputised by Sem Nangolo.

Saima Namukwambi was re-elected as additional member of the committee, with Peter Shituula as alternate member.

Priskila Kauna Nashandi is still an ordinary member of the Ondangwa Town Council.

* The Eenhana Town Council re-elected Julia Shikongo as Mayor, with Paulus Muandingi as her deputy.

Leonard Jona was re-elected as the chairman of the management committee, deputised by Ester Kavela.

William Shatimwene was re-elected as additional member of the committee while Abed Munenguni and Eunike Shonena are ordinary council members.

* The Oshikuku Village Council re-elected Hilya Nuusiku Shinana as chairperson, deputised by Magano Shivute, who replaces Salomo Hidulika in the position.

Hidulika, Mbockoma Mungandjera and Anna Shihwandu are ordinary members of the council.

* The Ruacana Village Council re-elected Linda Mbwale as chairperson, deputised by Simon Shooya.

Lisias Tjapuha, Kaansela Febronia Shapaka and Christofine Uutoni remain ordinary council members.
