Suspect arrested

OUTAPI - Police in the Omusati Region on Wednesday arrested a murder suspect who had been on the run since February 27.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Lineekela Shikongo commended the public for playing a major role in the arrest of Simon Shekunangela (20).

Shekunangela was arrested near the Namibia-Angola border.

He faces murder and attempted murder charges for allegedly killing a 19-year-old man during a failed armed robbery at Eunda settlement in the Omusati Region on February 27.
