Keetmans crime stats

CRIME statistics for Keetmanshoop show an increase in some areas like robbery, attempted murder and rape, while the figures for assault have decreased.

According to Regional Commander, Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel, figures revealed that there had been a 13,25 per cent rise in robbery, attempted murder and rape between January and June compared to the same period a year ago.

The number of cases of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, and common assault, in Keetmanshoop are down by 144 over the previous year, a drop of 12,50 per cent.

These resulted in an overall crime rise of 0,75 per cent this year for compared to last year's crimes committed at the town.
