According to Regional Commander, Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel, figures revealed that there had been a 13,25 per cent rise in robbery, attempted murder and rape between January and June compared to the same period a year ago. The number of cases of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, and common assault, in Keetmanshoop are down by 144 over the previous year, a drop of 12,50 per cent. These resulted in an overall crime rise of 0,75 per cent this year for compared to last year's crimes committed at the town. |
