A Matter of Fact

THE Ministry of Education has pointed out that its Minister Nangolo Mbumba did not run for the position of Secretary for Education in Swapo because he was already a Deputy Secretary General.

The previous Secretary for Education was Nahas Angula.

In a front-page story yesterday, The Namibian reported that two top Swapo officials had lost their positions in a shake-up of the ruling party hierarchy.

It said that one of the two was Mbumba.

We apologise.
