Khomasdal house robbed

STAFF REPORTER

THIEVES who broke into a house in Windhoek's Khomasdal area yesterday stole a computer and a cellphone, which together are valued at N$10 000, the Namibian Police reported yesterday.

The incident happened at around 02h00.

* A 33-year old man was arrested at Windhoek over the weekend after he apparently raped a 44-year old woman on Thursday night.

* A 36-year old Windhoek resident reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his home in Khomasdal on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Melvin Dyers.

* Police are investigating a case of arson at Okahao, after an unknown person allegedly set fire to another man's house.

Property valued at N$9 390 was destroyed.

The incident happened at the Oshimanya village, and Police say the method used to start the fire has not yet been determined.
