Child killed by minibus

STAFF REPORTER

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl died after being run over by a minibus at Oshakati on Tuesday.

Charges of culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving, and driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver's licence have been laid against the driver, the Police have reported.

The accident happened on a gravel road in the Uupindi residential area.

According to the Police, the girl was trying to cross the street when the bus hit her.

She died a few hours later at the Oshakati State Hospital.
