The incident happened at Farm Kaalvlakte in the Bethanie district on Monday evening.

Karas Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel identified the deceased as Likis Ngegsheya.

Police reported that the suspect took off after the murder in a vehicle in which he and the deceased had been travelling.

The suspect lost control of the vehicle and overturned it near the crime scene.

Abel said the motive for the murder was not known.

The suspect is set to appear in the Keetmanshoop's Magistrate Court today.
