Speedy treatment for accident victims at Walvis Bay hospital

STAFF REPORTER

IN an attempt to increase support for surviving victims of car accidents, the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund and the Welwitschia Medi-park in Walvis Bay have agreed to help these victims receive medical treatment with minimum delay.

The agreement is that the MVA would bear all costs for medical assistance rendered to accident victims where the fund is liable.

In return, the hospital will be responsible for receiving, admitting and stabilising all victims where liability has been determined.

Upon stabilisation, the normal procedures and protocols practised at the hospital with regard to accident victims would be followed.
