Zimbabwe talks to continue after summit in S Africa

JOHANNESBURG - South African President Thabo Mbeki said yesterday that some regional leaders would continue talks aimed at ending Zimbabwe's post-election political crisis after their summit closed.

Earlier opposition MDC officials sent out conflicting signals on progress in the talks.

It was not clear whether Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai would take part in the talks after the summit.
