Teenager fights back against rape attacker

WINDHOEK - A 16-year-old girl escaped unharmed from an attempted rapist at Omusatigwanita village in the Ongandjera area last week.

The Police reported that the teenager was allegedly grabbed by her arms and pulled into nearby bushes.

The suspect tried to rape her, but the victim managed to fend him off and ran away.

The incident took place while the victim was on her way home from school.

No arrest was made and the Police investigation continues.

In another incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 13-year-old boy at Ombwana village in the Uukwambi area.

The suspect was arrested and appeared before the Outapi Magistrate's Court on Wednesday last week.
