Namcol director resigns

STAFF REPORTER

THE Namibian College of Open Learning is parting ways with its Director, Frances Ferreira.

Chairperson of Namcol's Board of Governors, Dr Haaveshe Nekongo-Nielsen, announced yesterday that Ferreira had resigned, effective from December 31, to take up other challenges.

Ferreira is the founding Director of Namcol, which started in September 1997.

"During her more than 10 years as Director of Namcol, the Board has valued her sound judgement, hard work and, above all, her sense of professionalism," Nekongo-Nielsen said.

She said Namcol had grown remarkably thanks to the creative energies and refreshing idealism of Ferreira.
