Lands offices burgled at Keetmanshoop

WINDHOEK - Items worth N$77 000 were stolen from the office of the Ministry of Lands and Resettlement in Keetmanshoop last weekend.

The Police reported that the incident took place between September 15 and 18 after thieves broke into the office through a window.

The stolen items include fax machines, a laptop computer, a printer and a jacket.

A 29-year-old suspect was arrested and the jacket has been recovered.

In another theft case, a computer valued at N$20 000 was stolen from a doctor's consulting rooms at Keetmanshoop last week.

It is believed that the suspect entered the room through a window.

The Police investigation continues.

In the Kunene Region, Uariruavi Mbinge (age unknown) sustained serious injuries when his car overturned along the road between Alpha and Ombombo villages last Monday afternoon.

A passenger sustained slight injuries and both were transported to Opuwo State Hospital.
