Police officer arrested at Keetmanshoop

LUQMAN CLOETE at KEETMANSHOOP

POLICE at Keetmanshoop have arrested a fellow Police officer,Timotheus Kabhila, on a charge of theft, Karas Regional Commander Josephat Abel reported yesterday.

Kabhila allegedly stole safe keys and a service pistol belonging to the Tses village Police Station.

Tses is located some 80 kilometres north of Keetmanshoop.

Kabhila who was based at the Tses Police station appeared in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court yesterday and was granted bail of N$3 000.

He was not asked to plead.
