Man held in child rape case

* STAFF REPORTER

A 49-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl at a village in the Ohangwena Region the previous day.

The incident happened at Oshalumbu village.

* A burning candle has caused the death of a 50-year-old woman in the Ohangwena Region.

Letisia Shuukifeni was asleep in her hut at Odimbwa village on Monday morning when the candle set her hut on fire.

She was admitted to the Oshakati State hospital but died the next day.
