Crocs invade fish farm

RUNDU - Karovho Fish Farm Manager Andrew Shikusho says crocodiles have invaded the farm because of the high level of the Kavango River.

He says the reptiles have been eating the fish in the ponds for the past two weeks and it might negatively affect the fish harvest this year.

Shikusho says he has asked Environment and Tourism officials to help remove the crocodiles.

Nampa has established that a team of Nature Conservation officials will be sent to Karovho to remove the crocodiles.

Last year some members of the fish farm killed a crocodile in one of their fishponds.

Karovho Fish Farm is situated about 160 kilometres east of Rundu in the Mukwe Constituency.
