Limited moves for CEOs

BERLIN, - The German government wants to limit possibilities for chief executives to move to their companies' supervisory boards once they have stepped down as CEO, currently a common practice in Germany, a report said Tuesday.

The CDU and its coalition partners, the Social Democrat SPD party, have already reached agreement on the issue, the business daily said in a pre-release of an article that was to be yesterday.

The issue was highlighted recently by the case of Heinrich von Pierer, former CEO of engineering giant Siemens and the company's supervisory board head.
