New Bank Windhoek branch

The Regional Councillor of the Oshakati-East Constituency, Lotto Kuushomwa, officially opened the new Bank Windhoek Oshakati North branch at the Etango Shopping Centre recently.

By extending banking facilities to Oshakati North, Bank Windhoek is strengthening the development of the economy and trading potential of Oshakati.

"Bank Windhoek has for many years now, recognised the need for banking services in the more remote parts of the country and considers the provision of banking services in these areas of the country as an important contribution to the economic development and social upliftment of the communities here", said André Nel, Executive Officer of Retail Banking Services of Bank Windhoek.

The Oshakati North branch is the ninth branch that Bank Windhoek has opened as part of its expansion to northern and southern Namibia.

This expansion has been partly funded by the British Government from a grant through its Department for International Development (DFID).

This fund assisted the bank in extending its branch network to rural communities in Namibia.
