Muheua And His Master

I FEEL shock and disbelief at what I heard on the 'Talk of the Nation', Monday, December 3 2006 that the President of NUNW, Alpheus Muheua, is also a deputy director in the Office of the Prime Minister.

He said when negotiations are taking place in the OPM, he remains neutral! What does that neutrality mean to the workers? Who told Muheua to take up a post that may conflict with his position? Conflict of interest involves a person acting or failing to act on a matter in which he/she has an interest or in which another person or entity that has a relationship with him/her has an interest.

If the Prime Minister, for example, objects to salary increases, Muheua, a subordinate, has to comply.
