Call To Cancel Rundu Congress

ALLOW me to join my comrades who are not happy with the procedures followed to choose candidates to attend the Swapo Congress in Rundu.

This Congress should not be held, it should be cancelled.

Even people in Windhoek West were not happy with the Regional Conference held on November 18 at the Mandume Hall in Katutura.

It was said that information was not distributed equally - some were given wrong information; others were given the right information, and this resulted in some branches establishing more sections than other branches because they took people from Wanaheda to form a section in Pionierspark and this is wrong according to the Party Constitution.

Secondly, the Swapo Women's Council Constitution they followed has not been approved yet, so the right way is they should make use of the Swapo Party Constitution.

I will not elaborate to much on this, but call for the Congress to be cancelled if other groups cannot take part.

Thirdly the, Swapo Party Manifesto stated that Swapo should not encourage tribalism but this is exactly what has happened.

This is now a big challenge for the Party President.

It is a shame to find so many other tribes left out.

People are not happy.

The same people who cried out for UNITY are the same people that destroy it.

If you already have a position, why not give a chance to others? Are you here for the nation you serve or for positions? Don't forget who brought you there - our votes count and no position is permanent.

You can be a Minister today and tomorrow a cleaner.

We call for the intervention of the Founding Father as the Swapo President.
