Friday, December 1, 2006 - Web posted at 8:20:30 GMT Banks Should Wake Up AS a western visitor to this beautiful land, I am perplexed there apparently is no bank in your country with the marketing brains to be the first to promote the idea that clients should come to their bank and deposit their money at no cost. |

I know from the excellent story in last week's Weekender that at least one bank does not charge for deposits under N$500. But surely a smart marketer would see a great promotional opportunity here to say: "Put your money in our bank and we will pay you interest without charging you for that privilege." It is inconceivable to me that a bank takes your money and then makes money with your money and still has the nerve to charge you for taking your money. Robert S.Mellis Windhoek |
