Navachab gets new MD

ANGLOGOLD Ashanti has appointed Gerry Arnat as Managing Director of the Navachab Gold Mine at Karibib with effect from September 1.

Arnat is a born and bred Namibian who grew up in the Karibib area.

He obtained a Diploma in Mining Engineering and an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering through the Camborne School of Mining in the United Kingdom.

Arnat gained extensive mining industry experience at Roessing Uranium and Scorpion Zinc before joining Navachab Gold Mine as Mining Manager in June 2005.
