The printing press is situated in Windhoek's Lafrenz Industrial Area and is the result of discussions between the Editor of Namibia's biggest daily paper, Gwen Lister, and Trustco's Managing Director, Quinton van Rooyen, which started at the end of last year.

Lister and Van Rooyen then entered into a 50-50 partnership and established FPP.

The printing press consists of state-of-art technology including a screen pre-press, Goss Community main press, a Meg Air heat set package for commercial printing needs and a Thorsted mailroom.

The Goss Community is capable of printing at speeds of between 25 000 and 30 000 impressions per hour, and will be used to print The Namibian and Trustco's Informanté newspaper.

Both Lister and Van Rooyen believe that the new press will take their newspapers to greater heights in terms of improved quality and quicker delivery to the public and also advance the print business in Namibia and further afield.
