3 shot in bar hold-up

STAFF REPORTER

A MAN was killed in a robbery at a bar at Walvis Bay on Monday night.

Immanuel Fredrick (21) died after he was shot in the head by an unknown person who was in the process of robbing the Shasha Bar at Kuisebmond.

The suspect is alleged to have stolen N$2 000 from the bartender, the Police reported in their crime bulletin yesterday.

Besides shooting Fredrick, the suspect injured two clients, a 28-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, in the shoulder and chest respectively.

Fredrick was rushed to hospital, but died on the way.

No arrest had been made by yesterday afternoon.

* Police at Karibib have arrested a 17-year-old man for the alleged rape of a 24-year-old woman at a township there.

The victim claims that she was assaulted and robbed of a cellphone before she was raped.

The cellphone has been recovered.
