Water rationing in the North

* STAFF REPORTER

THE canal that takes water from Ogongo to the Oshakati Water Treatment Plant will be out of operation until October 17, NamWater has announced.

NanWater is currently doing maintenance work on the canal.

It says all customers who depend on its water pipeline network in the Oshikoto, Ohangwena and Oshana regions, and the eastern part of Omusati, are affected.

"During this period, potable water will only be supplied in the pipelines for 9 hours per day during the following times: between 04h00 and 07h00, between 11h00 and 13h00 and between 17h00 and 21h00," NamWater says.
