Ovakwanyama appointment

* OSWALD SHIVUTE at OSHAKATI

OVAKWANYAMA King Kornelius Mwetupunga Shelungu has appointed Senior Traditional Councillor George Nelulu as Vice Chairman of the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority.

Nahas Ndevahoma, the Secretary to the Ovakwanyama King, told The Namibian that Nelulu would act as an assistant to the King because of the advanced age and deteriorating health of the Traditional Authority's Chairman, Victor Weyulu.

The Oukwanyama Traditional Authority has also announced that the construction of the King's palace at Omedi is nearing completion.

King Shelungu is expected to move into the new palace by November.
