17-year-old charged with murder

A 17-year-old youth was arrested by the Henties Bay Police after allegedly killing 39-year-old Hermanus Korner on Saturday morning.

The youth apparently stabbed Korner in the chest during a quarrel.

Korner died a short distance from the scene of the attack in the town's Omdel area.

Panga attack Magongo Paulus Iitembu is in a serious condition in the Okahao District Hospital after being slashed several times with a panga in the early hours of Monday morning.

An eighteen-year-old man appeared before the Outapi Magistrate's Court on the same day on charges of attempted murder.

The incident occurred at the Ontetakena Cuca Shop in the Ongandjera area.

Pensioner commits suicide A 60-year-old man committed suicide in Pionierspark on Sunday afternoon.

According to yesterday's crime bulletin, Wolfgang Alberts shot himself in the head with a revolver at 1 Potgieter Street.

He died instantly. His next of kin have been informed.
