Suspect shot in the buttocks

WINDHOEK - A man was shot and wounded in the buttocks on Sunday while he was breaking into a vehicle of the City Police.

The 31-year-old was shot at around 01h20 in Goshawk Street near the cemetery in Pionierspark, Windhoek.

* At Okahandja, Josua Nampala (27) was robbed of N$600 in cash on Saturday night.

He was stabbed with a screwdriver and suffered minor injuries.

The two suspects have not been arrested.

* In Windhoek's Otjimuise area, four men robbed Albertu Kandanga (31) at gunpoint on Saturday.

They took his cell phone, belt and sandals, worth about N$2 000.

No arrests have been made.

* A 25-year-old man, identified only as Dinyando, was found dead between Rundu and Divundu on Saturday.

He is believed to have been the victim of a hit-and-run accident.

* Three Angolan men were arrested in possession of 10 kg of dagga at the Oshikango border post in the Ohangwena region.

The suspect allegedly tried to enter Namibia illegally.
